Greetings, flisters! I wanted to wish everyone a happy Valentine's Day/Singles Awareness Day/however you celebrate/malign February 14th :) Me, I'll be spending the day with my fictional loves. Since yesterday was a Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz fest, I was thinking Star Trek today, since I caught part of it in passing after I got back from some errands, and I got this HUGE PANG of HAY YEAH I MISS THOSE SPACE NEWBIES.

So yes. Adorable running and space husbands and motherfucking lensflares for me today :D

quick hits:

-Dad's birthday was fine except my body decided to betray me, so most of what I could do was suck down advil and iced tea and curl up on a couch, cutting into my valuable Dad time. John took off to spend another long weekend with him, but I've got Saturday commitments and a busy comm that's about to have a watch party for the US premier of Sherlock and schoolwork, so :(

-Dad's girlfriend gave me Brandon Flowers's solo album for no reason whatsoever. Score!

-so John Watson shares his clothes with Spock. funny, cuz I more saw Sherlock in that Vulcan get up :)

-found that Housemate Jase is definitely the root of my sleeping problems; dude does not know how to twist doorknobs so that doors close quietly. At night -__-

-Big Boss is ignoring all of us because we haven't taken him out of his habitat in ages; African tortoises have no concept of rain.

-got grandma interested in Sherlock and watched all three eps in two days *cackles evilly* John is the last that needs to be educated~

-and totally studied for my medical terminology test for one day and pulled it off. Coincidentally, cramming ain't my style bro.

Now I'm going to snuggle with my lappy and coffee once more and try to relax :) Hope everyone's having a good day!

This gif is lighting up my life right now :D WANT STAR TREK ON BLU RAY NAO PLZ.

Sorry for the random, sharp bout of emo in the last post, guys. I kind of had a long night and got to overthinking things. Not to say any of it was untrue or anything, I just don't want to make anyone feel put upon to deal with my shit, heh.

Had a bio exam today that I had next to no clue about. It's those kind of exams that really piss you off, yanno, the ones that test on really specific, obscure information that makes sure you read the book, but the kind of stuff that even if you did read the book, it wouldn't occur to you to remember? Yeah.

Get a debate on the Iraq War tomorrow, which should be fun. The first debate (gay marriage. I live in the most conservative county in California, so you can imagine how that was) just about ended in a knock down drag out brawl, so I can't wait for this shit.

SUPERNATURAL FEN: anyone have a gif of Sam cleaning out the hunters' clocks from 5.03? I need that in gif form BADLY.

OH GOD GUYS, CHRIS PINE WHO? SERIOUSLY, ALL YOU WHIPPER SNAPPERS NEED TO KNOW YOUR ROOTS.

Anyone who was looking, the lovely [livejournal.com profile] whenisadoor has made a Leonard "Bones" McCoy only icon post. REJOICE.

Despite having seen Star Trek three times now legally and several more not-so-legally but it wasn't good quality cough, I still wanna see it agaaaaiiin. Considering going to the LA meetup for [livejournal.com profile] ontd_startrek members and partying it out with them :DDD All depends on if I have time, though. And if I can tolerate LA for a few hours doubt it.

This is pretty much the most precious cast ever assembled. I must make a Star Trek spam post soon, y?

Everyone's said their bit on the Prop 8 ruling and it seems unfair to reopen old wounds, and I'm reluctant to do so. Suffice to say, I didn't think it would get overturned, because it is hard as fuck to overrule a popular vote, apparently. Though, why it was even on the ballot is a mystery, but my state does have its share of fucktards, especially here in Orange County.

But just remember that the court just didn't feel like it could go against Prop 8 because it amended the constitution of the state. It said Prop 8 is legal, not that it's right, which gives us the opportunity to regroup and get on the ballot next year to correct this. With a fire properly lit under the hereto sloppy anti-Prop 8 campaign managers, the memory of the protests that broke out like wildfire after the election, and the small streak of states allowing gay marriage (hopefully to include New York soon), I think we have a good chance of getting gay marriage rights back.

OHGOD OHGOD OHGOD MISHA COLLINS IS ON TWITTER AND I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TAKE THIS. HIS IS STILL ADORABLE AND WITTY AND I HOPE THERE ARE BUCKETS OF SARCASM HE'LL DUMP ON US. MISHA + THE INTERNET = TERRIFYING, YET AWESOME.

I rewatching the remastered Star Trek TOS on BluRay with Sean, but he's out in Las Vegas right now with his family, boo~. Oh well, after gloating that me and Jen and Ellie got to see LOVE this last summer, he's finally seeing it and I am vereh happeh :) And I'm gonna go see Star Trek again TOMORROW. JJ Abrams, take all my monies, plz.

Many things happening tonight! First of all, game 7 of the Ducks @ Red Wings (GO GO ANAHEIM), should be a barn burner :DDD Also, SUPERNATURAL FINALE, WOOTWOOT \o/ I am certain I'll need to have a good long cry, but I'm holding on to the (very infinitesimal) hope that things will turn out KIND OF okay between the brothers Winchester ;__;
