Delightful things I have learned about @KeithOlbermann:

*has already mastered the Art of Twittering faster than @RachelMaddow, calls her a n00b, I squeal my head off
*is a huge Harry Potter nerd
*is BFFies with Simon Pegg and Joel McHale
*is not actually a huge scifi geek, a trespass which I can easily forgive because he greatly enjoys Tom Baker as the Doctor
*believes Jeremy Brett to be the best Sherlock Holmes ever period end of story

With all due respect to Basil Rathbone and RDJesus, THE LAST POINT IS VERY TRUE. I am going through the complete Granada series in a way that can only be described as devouring, already up to "The Empty House". I'll miss David Burke as Watson terribly, but I already love Mr. Hardwicke, and both do a fab job of portraying the good doctor, but I am convinced that Jeremy Brett was born solely for the purpose of playing Sherlock Holmes, world's only consulting detective and champion sofa hurdler. DESTINED for it :D I need extreme macros, because seriously, this imperial ass GQMF. Seriously.

Update time for That Will Situation After The Death Of My Grandfather. Dad was up last week and let me read the will, which was pretty clear that Papa's home and car were left to my dad, in addition to the third of the money he was owed, and the brother that is the executor of the will, Chester, is trying to make him pay for it, while middle brother Paul (the broke one) is actually living in it and using the car and trying to put his name on both pieces of property.

He tries to get dad to come to a meeting with him on neutral territory to "discuss the numbers" (no, there aren't any numbers to discuss because THEY WERE LEFT TO DAD AND HE DOESN'T HAVE TO PAY A DIME), but it's really to get the arguing out of earshot of Grandma so she doesn't have cause to cut them out of her will, which is infinitely more valuable than her ex-husband's. But Dad wasn't having any of it, and it's likely that if it ever goes to court, Dad would win handily, but he's not the type to sue his own family, so if it does come to that, either Chester or Paul will bring it.

It was strange because the whole business died down and they backed off for a little while ago because Paul allegedly got a job, and Chester is obviously acting like this on his behalf because Paul needed money and was almost relying on his dad's death, but he showed up at our house AFTER he was supposed to have left for his "job" in order to pick up his mail, so who knows if that story was bullshit. But now they're back to trying to squeeze money out of my dad instead of following the will, so it's a mess. All of it's a mess.

Argh, I have not been a very good LJ friend lately, so I'm going to spend a considerable amount of time catching up with all of you. Best wishes and fond feelings for you all <3
