Mind, you I never watched the whole Cowboy Bebop series. I got lazy and kept missing it lmao but I saw a few episodes and know it's a great epic anime and Spike is hot and awesome and I love Faye and Ed is adorable and fuck my life, I don't know the other guy's name :[
But even I know that Keanu Reeves can't fucking play Spike. N.
Crud. I liked the idea of Joseph Gordon Levitt. He's even got the hair, man! Also, kinda wondering how Faye's wardrobe will translate to the big screen. Takes a special kinda lady to feel comfortable kicking ass in that getup.
I mean, Keanu's not ALL bad. He could probably pull off noir. And he DOES know kung fu.
Me too--I just watched Brick again this morning on Showtime or whatever.
The thing about it is JG-L basically was Spike in Brick, minus using guns and flying spaceships and whatnot. Sure, he wasn't the fighting virtuoso Spike is, but he's wiry, can throw a punch, stoic in the noir style and actually has a sense of humor. The latter is the thing I doubt Keanu can pull off; Spike may be a pokerfaced protagonist, bur he's definitely got a goof factor that's hard to pull off without looking like a total twat. Unfortunately, Keanu has a knack for it, as his cocky ass did the nose thing during the dojo sequence in the Matrix -__-
