Just a quick series of announcements:
-Nikki! I am officially back on World of Warcrack! If you're down to playing on Saturdays again, that would be most excellent :D
-Sarah! I've sent you something, fufufufufu...
-I don't really have a third point, I just wanted to gloat that I have a download of the David Tennant-headlined broadcast of Hamlet played on Boxing Day ASDFJKL;

Also. Is Christmas time Bondage time? Because Tennant ductaped to a chair? Yes please. I really liked it. Tennant should always do Shakespeare, seriously. He was brilliant and mad and fantastic. I had a few fangirly moments when he was laying on the floor/barefoot/wearing that tshirt and stretching so y'could see his stomach but then my Shakespeare fangirl took over and oh my god. it was magnificent. the tone was perfection. Now if only people would make Hamlet gifs.

I'm starting to think so. We've got Tennant duct-taped to a chair, the Master in a collar & chain AND a weird full body whatsitcalled that just made me think this was a fantasy of RTD's that he wanted played out before he left. We all win~
He was! He was utterly brilliant, not with the weird emotionlessness that I've seen a couple do with Hamlet's character--he was all rage and sorrow and cheeky and insane, AND I LOVED IT. What Shakespeare do you think he should do next, just for the sake of argument?
Let's be honest here, the gorgeousness didn't detract from viewing AT ALL, UNF. All laying about and slouching in chairs and on the floor and that one time he
wantonlyspread his legs wide open, like, JESUS CHRIST he was being a giant slut XD IT WAS AWESOME. Also, the "To be or not to be" soliloquy, and entrancing as he was, I couldn't help but think of how pretty he hurts and that's probably why Rusty picked him for the Doctor, then run him through the emotional ringer.Okay, the barefoot thing, fangirling aside, I liked how it was a visual representation of insanity. You saw Ophelia go barefoot after Polonius got killed, eh, EH? :P It's only pre-ghost and post-England that you really see Hamlet wearing shoes. OH THAT WAS---I GEEK OUT OVER THIS SORT OF THING, AS YOU SEE. Symbolism and shit like that :D

I'VE JUST FINISHED CRYING MY EYES OUT FOR THE SECOND TIME OVER THAT EPISODE. ADHGADHGA;DKG;LSAKDJG WHYYYYYYY.
If possible, there may be a Doctor Who AU and/or crossover in the works. Because I'm actually amazed there hasn't been a bandom invasion already!

AND TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, IT'S BECAUSE RTD HATES AND LOVES US. That's still my favorite season finale :D
