I hadn't heard a thing about it until the BBC was like oh hey in about a week we're rolling this out and it's written by some Doctor Who people you guys love and it's Sherlock Holmes and he's in modern times. BTW he's tall and lanky and has a voice like buttah. Talk amongst yourselves.

lol irl at 'my doctor goes to eleven'...i'm so close to willingly starting up doctor who but i want to start with eleven...everyone says start with nine but arrrrgh i want. to start. with eleven. i think it's the reason i keep putting it off.

My life for a good new Holmes show, ahhh :D Interestingly enough, from what I've read Martin Freeman is putting people off of this incarnation, and I'm like ARE YOU GUYS SERIOUS. Fine. Fiiiiiiiine. Just make oogly eyes at Holmes then.

DIDN'T I TELL YOU TO START WATCHING ALREADY? okayokay, here's the deal: Eleven's storylines are fairly disconnected from the previous two Doctors, and a bit more lighthearted, which makes it an awesome point for newbies to jump in. BUT. I would recommend saving it for after Nine & Ten simply because they get downright depressing and you really need that lightheartedness with Eleven to lift you up out of it.

But part of this is just my personal preference for doing things chronologically, but in the end it's up to you :)

SO EXCITED! A modern Sherlock Holmes, here's hoping it turns out even more awesome than it sounds! (Whoops, that sounds like I don't like it. I meant that it's already awesome beyond reason and I hope that it is that much more when we finally get to see it. My words, they fail lol)

I find him endearing also, very much so actually. It was just shocking and make me all the more aware of my own pale skin. I know I get no sun AT ALL so I wonder what his excuse is XD
