I was getting bored, so I've compiled a couple songs I've been listening to on my iPod recently, and I've made them all available for download! So, if you're looking for some different music than the norm, or just want to laugh at my music choice, follow the cut ^__~
Surf's Up-- The Beach Boys This is my favorite song by The Beach Boys, mainly because the lyrics are gorgeous and the chord progressions are beyond beautiful. Overall wonderfulness here.
Jenny Wren-- Paul McCartney Off of his newest album, Chaos and Creation in the Backyard, and also the most beautiful, sad/hopeful song he's written in a long while.
Bohemian Rhapsody-- Queen This is a band bus favorite ^__^ Everybody does the Wayne's World head banging when it comes times.
Mr. Brightside-- The Killers One of the few modern bands I listen to. I listened to this song in my friend's car and totally fell in love hardcore :D This is my fav of theirs.
Passion-- Utada Hikaru Yes, this song is in Japanese. Yes, I have the English version. No, I will not post it, because this version is way better because the English one removed all the awesome layering that made this one cool. Very catchy song!
Love and Happiness-- Al Green Going a little old school, here. Feel the love.
Feeling Alright-- Joe Cocker I heard this at the end of an episode of House and thought it was really fun to dance to while I make pancakes ^__^
For No One-- The Beatles Possibly the most depressing breakup song in the history of the universe; I've decided Paul McCartney has the quintessential melancholic singing voice :P
Across The Universe-- The Beatles John Lennon at his purest (IMO, anyway). This is off the Let it Be...Naked album, so it's actually the version as it should have been, i.e. before the hurricane of post-production destroyed the one put on the original Let it Be album. My favorite Beatles song.
Johanna-- Sweeney Todd, 2005 Broadway Revival Cast Now this seems a bit out of place with the rest, I know, but it's pretty much been my favorite song since March. Total play count: 267. I shit thee not. I have no idea what it is that keeps drawing me back to it, but it is by and large the most played song on my iPod. Those of you who download it might not know what's going on in the story by this point (ask if you wanna know), but it's a beautiful/disturbing/chord-tastic song nonetheless. Sweeney Todd actively competes with Phantom of the Opera as my favorite musical, with Jesus Christ Superstar in a close third ^__^
I think that's enough for now ^__^ I'll reupload songs if anyone missed 'em

The Let it Be ... Naked version of Across the Universe is superb. Actually, the entire CD is great. Do you have the Love CD? I heard it's verreh nice-ah.
