Meme from [livejournal.com profile] periculosa!

Comment on this post. I will choose seven interests from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are interested in them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so that others can play along.

1. angel- Okay, this is the character Angel from the titular show, also from Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. Yes, I love Jossverse, and Buffy was too campy to pass up. So Angel wasn't one of my more favored characters until he actually had his own show because he finally got almost as snarky as the rest of the cast, and when Spike joined them in the fifth season it was off the charts amounts of sniping, which = a happy me ^__^ I'm not really in the fandom at the moment, but it is one of many.

2. disgaea- Totally one of my favorite games EVAR. You play this cute little dude named Laharl and he's the prince of the underworld, but someone juiced him so he slept for a couple hundred years, so he misses the death of his father, and every other demon in the underworld is trying to become the next Supreme Overlord. It might not sound very interesting, but the comedy is golden and all the characters look like tiny little cartoons, and one of your characters has little bat wings and can use penguins as explosive weapons. I kid thee not.

3. marching band- The thing that dominated my high school life. Probably the best thing to happen tp me there, because I really am not as socially retarded as I could be now, and I can actually change in the same room/bus/closet as someone else and not be incredibly freaked out. I met some awesome people that I'm still in contact with, and on a minor note, it counted for physical education credit, so I never had to take one PE class ^__^

4. phantom brave- Another game that just happens to be by the same developers as Disgaea, only this time you play a girl name Marona, and she can see and interact with ghosts =D In battle sections, you select something like a plant or a tree or a sword and turn it into one of your ghosts so it'll kick the monsters' asses. And her ghost guardian Ash is some kind of awesome and wears a cool red scarf <3

5. j.m. barrie- The author of Peter and Wendy, a.k.a. Peter Pan. There are actually a lot of things that connect to this. First, of course, was that I loved the movie Finding Neverland; it was overwhelmingly brilliant, imo. It's one of the nicknames of that Wentz guy I love so much. And really, I think I have kind of a Peter Pan complex, in that what is entailed in adult life scares me a bit, so I don't want to grow up and get to the point where I'm forced to deal *le sigh*

6. mort rainey- Main character of Secret Window, starring the ever lovely Johnny Depp, and he (Mort and Johnny) is so amazing in that he's a total complete slob like I am and I love it ^__^ Mort's locked himself in a cabin to get out of his creative funk by talking to his dog, shuffling around in a ratty bathrobe with a bag of stale Lay's in one hand and a cigarette in the other. Then it turns out that he's a murderer =D Whoops, spoiler alert? Haha. But yeah, in the last fifteen minutes or so he starts talking to himself (like, literally. There's another Mort right there) and generally going crazy and he kills his ex wife and her boyfriend that she cheated on him with. But the most tragic part of this is the woeful lack of doppelganger fic that came out of this, because, honestly, Johnny/Johnny? Full of pretty and win.

7. wicked- A musical that I haven't seen, but I downloaded a bootleg of the original Broadway cast, but anyways, it's great. It's about The Wizard of Oz, but not at the same time, because it's before Dorothy came to Oz. It's basically a highschool fic, people, talking about how The Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch were friends when they were younger, and then everything went to shit because Elphaba (the wicked witch) meant to do good things, but was discriminated against because of her green skin, blah blah blah. The music is a little more modern that I like in a musical, but most of it's still good stuff, and the original cast member as the Wizard was Joel Grey! OMG, the Emcee! *flail* Yes, I freaked when he was a guest star on House as well. But anyways, good musical!
