Quickie update: got a midterm done on Thursday, and I pretty much felt like I kicked its ass, woo! Two more coming up on Monday and Tuesday, one of which is a sketch/dialogue in French -__- I'm off to study for my world music midterm and write the concert review I still need to do ;__;

Re: new Panic at the Disco songs: 1) Brendon's voice has gotten so pretty and he finally shows some flexibility with it other than shouting or whispering ^__^ 2) SHUT UP RYAN ROSS. ♥

I know it's sad that I never gave a damn about the weather,
And it never gave a damn about me.
I know it's sad that I never gave a damn about the weather,
And it never gave a damn about me.
No, it never gave a damn about me.

EDIT That's totally a good shut up. For real.

Actually, I love both those songs. Initially I wasn't so sure about the Brendon singing one, but halfway through I changed my mind. And I think Ryan's voice is great, it's so perfect for that song.

I love their versatility; to me that's the biggest influence I'm seeing from the Beatles.

Oh me too! Did I give the impression that I didn't like them? The first one I happened to listen to was the one where Ryan sang and it took me a couple seconds to realize why Brendon suddenly sounded so husky XD And I completely agree, Ryan's voice was perfect for it. I think Brendon might've tried to make it too dramatic, but the understated delivery was gorgeous. Neither of the songs needed to win me over. I'm just all agog ^__^

I am very. pleased. with all the songs they've given us so far, even if these are alternates; they make me want to hear the album versions very badly, as if I wasn't psyched up enough now. And I know a lot of people are complaining about the lyrics this time around but I adore them. Something about the ones on AFYCSO just bugged me and made me not want to listen to it sometimes, but the new ones go down smooth.

Yeah. They're lush and gorgeous and just... they make me think of ultra-vibrant landscapes, which is maybe why the shoots they've been doing and such are perfect for them, you know?

is that a good shut up or a bad one?
BECAUSEOMGRYANROSS. We've all heard him sing back-up, but...wow.
where did that voice even come from?

That was a GOOD shut up, I assure you ^__^ I've just had this unexpected rush of love for that ridiculous boy because he totally blindsided me with smiley happiness and lyrics that I suddenly love (because, seriously? There's quite a bit on AFYCSO that bugs me.) Also, he had a voice coach I think. And it did him real good because OMGRYANROSS♥♥♥ I used to feel so lukewarm about him, but now he kills me so dead.

i knowww. I was like 'this is ni-dsakjdkjfd. RYAN ROSS?'
someone needs to shower that voice coach with money and love.
