Revenge of the Sith! AAAHHHH!!!111oneoneone
Mere minutes ago, I saw the new Star Wars movie, and quite frankly, I lurve it to death. Prepare to be spoiled.
I like Star Wars. It's a fact, always has been since I watched Episode IV and Luke Skywalker bacme my favorite character, well until I realised he was quite whiny, but he redeemed himself by becoming an awesome Jedi. But that's beside the point. I love this fricken movie. I love it like I love air, marching band, and equally as much as my other fandoms. It's depressive as all hell, though.
Okay, the likes: ACTING! The acting is sssssoooooo much better this time 'round. I found every character more believable, especially the principle cast, but Hayden Christensen still struggles a bit. I love how the scenes cut to others while Anakin fully turns to the Dark Side, i.e. in one shot he's wreaking havoc on the Jedi Temple, the next you see the clone troopers carrying out the orders to take out the Jedi (I was really sad when the first shot was at Obi-Wan).
Basic rule of thumb in Episode III: Ewan McGregor=good stuff. He is a god. Argueably the strongest actor in the cast, we've seen him go from a young padawan in Ep. I, to unsure master in Ep. II and now to Jedi badass general in Ep. III. The emotional impact he makes after he slaps Anakin upside his whacked head is truly heartwrenching and, story-wise, a true indication of how things have gone to hell. See this movie if you haven't, and you'll really understand what I mean.
The bad. I hate the droid voices, however minor that is, Dooku last about five seconds in the beginning, General Greivious is stupid, Palpatine was trying too damn hard to be evil, that gay "NNNNOOOOO" Vader let out was SO hilarious when it oughtn't have been, and PADME. What did they do to Padme!? She was this extremely strong female character, and was thusly reduced to that of a mere outlet for Anakin and carriage for babies Luke and Leia. She sis the typical female stereotype things ("I don't know you anymore!" "Anakin, you're breaking my heart!", blah blah blah blah blah), and then, of course after giving birth and telling Obi-Wan that there's good in Anakin, she dies. Guh. Well, couldn't she of at least lived and hung out with Obi-Wan or something? Did she HAVE to die?
Otherwise, everything was totally of the awesomeness. The run-down goes as such: Graphics are cool, stroy is great, Anakin's a bitch, Obi-Wan rocks, Ewan McGregor is a hottie, and Padme shouldn't have died. There. My two cents.

"Well, he could have become evil from something else!"
If Padme had lived, she most likely would have kept her children. Meaning no Eps IV, V, VI. Or they wouldn't make sense anyway.
Just my two cents there.

And, yes, Padme is pure gold when it comes to stuff you can make fun of ;-)
