my initial emotions on The Waters of Mars

IF A BUBBLY, LOVELY MAN COULD REPRESENT HOW I'M FEELING ABOUT DOCTOR WHO (IN GENERAL) RIGHT NOW, IT WOULD BE JOHN BARROWMAN IN THIS ANI.

Fandom life is being so good to me :)

The Waters of Mars = quite possibly the best episode in the series. In simplest terms, I felt sick the whole time, but I couldn't stop myself from watching. Just...it was really good and absolutely devastating. This is the kind of writing that makes RTD awesome. More reactions later, when I've sorted out the Doctor (the Doctor, oh my god, the Doctor.)

*claps excitedly* Oooh! Oooh! I can help you! EEEE, you just made me go :DDDDD

haha, the history of it is lengthy, to say the least, but everyone who got into it recently has done it through the revived series in 2005 XD Basically, a Time Lord named the Doctor travels through space & time with companions he picks up along the way. The premise is so simple, but has such MASSIVE potential :) You do get to meet historical figures along the way, and get some famous guest stars (Simon Pegg!!! :D) and the acting is generally quite good!

The writing can be a bit campy at times, and have lulzy monsters, but 1) it's a family show--with some notable exceptions, especially the most recent ep, where it's gotten dark.-- 2) I really like camp, 3) it's equally as epic.

I can recommend starting with Christopher Eccleston's Doctor, since it's the beginning of the revived series and introduces a lot of the characters you'll need to know, and the overall storyarc of the show is simplified for old fans as well as new, so you're not going to be feeling lost :) The first ep is called "Rose".

Do you have a mate you can borrow the episodes from? If not, I can upload, or point you in the right direction of lower quality online streamers.

This reminds me, I've yet to watch the Minchin links you so generously provided! Excuuuuse me *runs off to do that*
