Okay, time for a real update. That blessed time known only as Winter Break has once again descended upon me, freeing me from school for two glorious weeks! Huzzah! Now I can actually finish some fics I'm working on (what's quickly becoming my usual fare: angst, angst, and more angst. I do seem to love torturing my boys ^__^). I ♥ writing fic.
My brother's girlfriend Samantha and I made fudge today (two batches of milk and one of white chocolate), and I'm quickly liking the idea of her living in the house. Here's what happened: she moved from Tuscon, Arizona to live with us because of her family. In addition to paying rent to her mother, she was also asking to borrow money from Sam, any where from fifty to more than a hundered every week or so (Sam's financial skills > her mother's) for whatever reasons. She's paying more rent here than back in Tuscon, but at least she'll be paying one flat fee and not be asked for more. Plus she gets to be with my brother. So far, things are going very well. Grandma likes her, I like her a hell of a lot better than John's last girlfriend for various reasons, not the least of which is that she stands up for me whenever John's being mean to me (Geez, I'm eighteen on the fifth of January and I still can't fight my own battles). Things have improved overall since she got here, especially socially. Never before has everyone got a Christmas present for each person. It's usually just grandma buying clothes for us and we also get lots of money from our uncles and cousins. Now, Sam's influenced us to where I actually bought a present for each of them, and so has John! OMG SHOCKING! But, yeah, I really like her :)
One of John's coworkers is getting fired tomorrow. He used John's debit card number and bought about $1100 worth of stuff off the internet, but was stupid enough to have it delivered to his own address and use his own e-mail as well. Dumbass. The worst part about it that he had always acted very kindly to my brother and was a friend. Now we don't know whether or not he's going to be arrested for identity theft.
I've still got homework to do, namely makeing up Q-cards for AP Art History, current events for AP Government/Politics, and doing a post-Impressionist painting for French (I'm really excited about that one!). I also get to place three people each into Dante's nine circles of Hell *devious smile* :D Good times, mes amis!
