tired, but aren't I always these days?]
[music|I Believe in You--Matthew Broderick, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying]
We've got one more performance of the musical left (woohoo!), but of course I'll be sad to see it go. Last week was Hell Week: rehearsals from 5:30 to 10:00 after a full day of school, save for Wednesday, which was from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM because we did teasers for the rest of the school, then rehearsed. Oy. So far, minus some technical glitches, missed entrances, and feedback problems, we've been doing a pretty damn good job. The orchestra (that's me!) keeps getting better and better, to the point where we're totally kicking ass in the instrumantal numbers (sexy growling trumpets doing "Luck Be A Lady", anyone?).
The actors are great this year too, if a bit of a motley crew. Jack's doing a good job as Sky Masterson, if a little stiff in his performance and inconsistent with his accent, which is a shame because he defiantly looks the part.
Megan is fabulous on anything she does on stage, with that godly voice of hers. Cameron as Nathan Detroit is just made of pure awesomeness. That boy is WIN. Hillary, our Adelaide, had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction last night, but it was fixed tonight :) She's gotten a lot better since we first started rehearsing with her (so have we, in fact) cause now she doesn't take off in her songs like she used to. Plus ^__^ Pictures and possibly video shall be forthcoming ♥
